this is the most correct advice for dandruff control.
ketaconzole is the most common ingredient.


but for me some brands are not working even ketaconzole 2% is used.
Eg. Nizoral is not working for me, but Conaz is working.

Head & Shoulders is the most popular. In some cases it helps. Sometimes it's not effective at all, stops working. The active ingredient in H&S is pyrithione zinc - used in milder form.

Both Selsun and Nizoral works much better. Nizoral could be expensive.

Many try Lime and fenugreek - Uluhaal (The Indians claim it works)
Place seeds in water overnight. Drain water and mash the seeds into a paste and apply on the scalp for half hour or more. Then wash off and apply some lime, then wash off. Someone who has tried this pls comment.
