IMO it's better to wait until the situation get settled to do the exams. The visa application deadlines , college,Msc, PHD application deadlines have been postponed without a date in most countries. So use this time to brush up your skills and do some mock tests.once the situation get settled you can take the exam again.

    Good post though

Correct! But for the people who feel less comfort at public exam centers can capitalize the opportunity. Thank bro!

Yes, at the same time, they might have to go through the preparation process again if the majority of the universities will not accept the IELTS Indicator Test (or else, it might take some time for them to start accepting the IELTS Indicator Test results).

Have a look at the following excerpt from the IELTS official website.

It is important to note that the IELTS Indicator is not a substitute for the in-person IELTS test. A test taker may still need to take an in-person IELTS test at a test centre once testing resumes to meet the requirements of their university or education provider.

It would have been better if they could offer the Indicator Test with the same recognition that the usual in-person IELTS tests receive. Both GRE General and TOEFL examinations are offered by ETS and the candidates have the option of facing the examination at home due to the prevailing situation. Interestingly, they have not mentioned anything about any specific differences between the actual tests and the home-based tests.

Exactly! The reason why I stressfully mentioned (a couple of time) that the recognition of the exam is doubtful and suggested to study the validity prior booking.
