I don't think anyone can apply Refugee Visa while they are living in their own home, in their own country. If you are displaced due to war or any other conflict, or have to flee your home/country to save your lives, then you are eligible to apply to ICRC for refugee status. Once ICRC recognise the applicants as genuine refugees, then they can apply refugee visas where available. It's not European countries, US/Canada, Aus/NZ, where ICRC settle their refugees. It can be a country like Cambodia, or PNG as well. So, it's not as easy as it looks.

My issue is how to flee the country in the first place. I wanna go to the US/Canada and put refugee visa to stay and get the citizenship. That's my plan
