No credit card for remote workers

I applied for a Sampath credit card since they have nice offers for hotels etc...
Today a guy came and collected my application and the documents. Just now he phoned me and informed that they are unable to grant me the card since I am not employed locally...

I have my salary being credited to a Sampath account in USD for quite a some time now..

Going tomorrow and closing my account

Guess the LKR is much more worthy to them
