No offense, But i dont know why people opt to go to private hospitals for baby deliveries where u could get them done free in public ones. Its reasonable for operations that u want to get done immediately but for this? I don't know am I missing something here?
that is because everyone deserves to be treated respectfully. especially a mom. Have you even seen or heard how some nurses speak to pregnant moms ?

You can argue because the service is free. but you don't have that problem in private hospitals and you have the right to question. Who wants thier wife to be treated inhumane during her delivery ?

and this other part is those clinics conducted by midwives.. the one in my area she only visited us twice for whole 8 months. 1st time she came and talked about nendamma and leli issues and said hondata inna nedammama wenas wenawa eka nisa parissamen... my wife was so upset coz she know how kind my mom is to her.

and in in her second visit she said, private nisa oyala api karanawata wada tests godak karala neda eka hodai api nam owa karanne na puluwan nam private ma delbiver ekata yanna, dannawane ithin gov hospital wala kathandare kiyala.

for this whole period, my wife never got Thriposha from them even after taking part in couple sessions they organized... i can buy her suposha or whatever from the market. that's not a problem. but those moms with low income.. what's going to happen to them ?

even when they vaccinate moms in their clinics, they just rub with a dry cotton.. i mean they are doctors and they should know the basics..

this is only a summary coz I'm so damn lazy to type the whole story..

yes you will end up spending good amount of money in a private hospital, atleast you get the care you need for your wife and baby for that money.

Yes. that's another part of the story. Whatever it is there must be some sort of control for private hospitals for their charges. Some regulations or price limits must be brought in by the government.

majority of those who chose private hospitals either those who can afford it or those who got insurance packages from their work places. others won't even think of going to a private hospital..

people always talk about regulating pvt hospital charges, but the truth is if the gvt sector can provide a better service, those prices will automatically drop...

as pvt hospitals they have to pay taxes and then they provide a freaking good care to their staff. for all that they need money end of the day. you should go and see how much they have to spend for a single staff. not only their salary, their insurances, other welfare stuffs, events, even daily tea is counted... that's all money end of the day

you don't see this with gvnment hospitals because it's all free of charge... but government has to bear it all

Yes, there are few periodic ultrasound scans (youtube these). those are in detailed scans. the doctor takes about 20 minutes for the scan. there you can see everything. Especially the fluid levels between the neck and spine which can tell you whether your child has down's syndrome and all.

In these scans, you can see the baby's blood flow, heart bear, full body. you can even hear the baby's heartbeat.

After the scan they will give you a DVD with the baby's 4D videos and images, those are almost like real-life ones.

My recommendation is to go to a good hospital and consult a good doctor from day 1 till delivery.
