Positive? Nothing except for the super rich. Negative? Possible economic collapse. Hyper inflation. China might bail us out though.

No positive impact at all machan. More money without actual growth in GDP leads to higher inflation.

Just think it like this. If there's only one car worth 1 million and 5 rich people bidding on this. Imagine that 5 people have a lot of money. What happens is when all 5 of them want the car, they tend to bid with higher offers. Ultimately due to more money chasing a limited item, the buyer ends up paying a lot more than 1 million which is the actual value of that car.

These days people do not have enough money, even to buy basic food items, so it is very unlikely to cause an inflation. Government printing money to cover the budget gap not for other extravagant expenditures. Most of this money will be absorb by the banking system again. Not much effect.

Imagine Government increased salaries of government servents by Rs.10,000 over night and printed money to pay that. In that case people will have more disposable income and will cause inflation.

What we are experience is supply push inflation because of the devaluation of rupee against USD. If the manufacturer imports at least one component from abroad he has to increase the price of his final product.
