A new still from Hawkeye has been released, and while it doesn't reveal much, we do get to see more of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). They're on the New York subway, and joined by Pizza Dog from Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye comic book run.
Set photos actually caught this trio shooting, and that was how we learned of Steinfeld's casting.
We don't have much in the way of plot details, but Renner recently revealed that, "[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she's a big Hawkeye fan. She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her, because she's such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life."
There's a huge amount of excitement surrounding Hawkeye, and rumour has it that the first trailer could arrive as soon as next week. It's possible Marvel Studios will want to keep the focus on What If...? for the time being seeing as it's their first animated series, though we'd be surprised not to see more stills and story details start to surface over the coming weeks after this latest sneak peek.
