Exactly machan, it is becoming like the common cold. Only a few people will die with complications. I think Dengue will become the number one killer again.
Lot of these news is fear mongering. Although Omicron has come the death rate is much low. UK has already peaked and now starting to seen a decline in the hospitalization.

When covid tablet comes quarantine processes will be over. if we infect simply we can get medicine though a dispenser like common cold.
