How to obtain prime mover driving licence.

Can anyone tell me, how to obtain a prime mover driving license in Sri Lanka?
Do I need to get a heavy vehicle license before that?

His path
01. obtain the heavy vehicle license
02. participated in a heavy machine operate course & get the certificate
03. went on interviews & worked in a local logistic firm an assistant driver first, then the driver

Still, I have no idea about a separate category for prime movers. But most people telling there is something to do more than obtaining a heavy vehicle license. Got this info from a driving school

There could be.. I just checked mine... I do not have the validity for A1, A and DE. Both A & A1 are for motorbikes. So it must be class DE. As you correctly said there are short courses offered by many places.

Yes. I too saw some short courses but they are offering just a certificate. Is that enough to drive a prime mover in road?

Yes , I do. The only missing ones are the motorbikes & DE. I am not sure about the prime movers though. That's why I thought it could be DE.

I contacted them. And they said they offer a certificate after 14 training but it may take 35 weeks to obtain a license. That's why bit confused.
