අපේ උගත්තු මොකක්ද මේ රටට කරේ?

අපේ මහා උගත්තු ඉන්නවා කොලබ ජපුර පේරා ගැන අපි කයිවාරු ගහගන්නවා. අපි තරම් උගත්තු වෙන රටවල නැත කියා උදම් අනනවා. මේ ගොල්ලොන්ගෙ ආචර්ය මහාචාර්ය පට්ටම්, කයිවාරු වලින් වැඩක් ඇද්ද මේ රටේ පැට්‍රල් ලිටරේ 300ට යන ආර්තිකයක් ආවනම්. තෙල් පෝලිමේ බඩට නොකෑ මිනිස්සු මැරිල වැටෙනවනම්. ඔච්චරටම උගත්තු වැඩ්ඩො ඉන්නවනම් උන් ඉන්න රටක් මෙහෙම වෙන්නෙ ඇයි.. උගත්තුන්ගෙ පෞර්ශත්වයක් නැද්ද රට යන වැරැදට හඩ නගන්න තර්ක කරන්න.. උගත්කම මොකටද රට හිගනරටක් වෙලා.

උගත්කම් පොඩි එවුන්ට දෙන්න වෙලානේද ඒ උගත්තුත් ගෑස් සිලින්ඩර් උස්සන් දවස් ගනන් නොකා පෝලිමේ ඉන්නව නම්.. දේසපාලනේ විතරක් නෙවේ වැරදි අනික් නිදහස් අද්යාපනේ ලබපු උනුත් බොරු කරල

This is wrong. We did have intelligent people in every field. They have done immensely if you happen to go out from our shores. Most of them left SL due to faults of our system. They had kept our flag flying high. This is so from world famous Unis to UN . But it is correct that most of them succeeded abroad while they were not even recognized properly in SL. This is mainly due to culture of appointing incompetent people to highest positions and their fear of others and not allowing cleaver people to shine under them.

Well it’s a good point!

I have visited nearly 20 countries as a professional. With my all experiences, (unfortunately) I can vehemently say without any hesitation: SL has never, ever produced a world-class professional in ANY field (other than Ms. Susanthika Jayashinhe). Instead of writing many chapters and verses, I’ll come to a simple point…

Here, I don’t get examples from the field of Science. because, then somebody might bring lame excuses such as “we don’t have a capital to do high standard researches…”

As the owner of this thread has also mentioned, we have numbers of faculties (in the field of Economics, Finance …) who claim to have produced world-class professionals/ academicians….

Most of academic researches in the field Economics, Finance are done with literature surveys and field surveys… (no need big a capital) … so without beating around the bush…tell me in nutshell, WHY..we have been unable to produce an internationally accepted theory or concept in the field of finance or any other… even after 80Ys under the shadow of free education

At least, a small theory such as “Supply & demand” which were being talking in the time of the Merchant of Venice (In Europe)???
