You know 90% of people went to USA for PhD comming back to Sri Lanka, getting a post doctoral from Europe or Australia again because lacking of opportunities. You need to be a genius intellectually or communicatively to get hired as a lecturer. or from a company (need supervisor support). High population high competition high risk.

I got opportunities from Netherlans, USA and Australia as the partner of my wife. I chose Australia because Australia is the only place partner can work full time just with student visa. Thats what opportunity means. Driving uber or cleaning in USA is not an opportunity. You need to legally possible to do a full time job. People who worked fro USA based IT companies in Sri Lanka like Infor, has an opportunity to migrate using company sponsorship. Thats the only easy way.

Yes, Genius means 130+ IQ. Most Sri Lankans who do Ph.D. are higher average rarely genius because all genius students in Sri Lanka do MBBS and Engineering and doing a Job. And for IT people I personally know FAANG interviews are the hardest. Only genius can get past it. I am not a Genius. Maybe you are. Having opportunities only for the people who are Genius means no Opportunities for the majority of people. Do you get it? That's what I meant. That's my point. You are in the USA in a FAANG company? then you are a genius!
