Poor Indian donates to Sri Lankan economic crisis.

A poor man in India has volunteered to offer the INR 20,000 that he had obtained by begging as an aid to Sri Lankans suffering due to the current economic crisis.

The man has been identified as Poolpandiyan from the Aalankinaru area in Thoothukudi.

He is renowned for saving the money he obtains through begging and providing donations to various deserving causes.

Previously he had provided INR 10,000 from his savings on multiple occasions to the Madurai District Administration to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Poolpandiyan is reported to have provided over INR 400,000 so far to combat the coronavirus pandemic in his district. (NewsWire)
