Im digital specialist with over 4 years experience here in Sri Lanka, currently working as a digital marketing manager. Looking to go to Dubai on visit visa in September, as I'm seeing good job opportunities there. Few things to know;

1. Which area is the best to stay? As in areas which has most digital agencies and corporates.
2. How much would be my average monthly cost? Im looking for a studio type room. and then for food and transport and other basic needs.
3. I saw many apartment rentals are asking for 1 year payment upfront, is there a site to check such apartments for a short term stay?

1. Stay close to Dubai, Which is the area where got most of the opportunities.
2. Depends.
There are studios, which they rent on a monthly basis, this could come around 1500AED minimum,
Food 500AED should be fine,
Travel - Get a monthly travel pass, 350AED

3. You cannot rent an apartment without an Emirates ID, so leave it.

Can you send me a good website to check monthly rented studios? I couldnt find any reliable ones. Also can you tell me the area name in Dubai to search for apartments? I saw downtown is a good residential area, but quite expensive

I can go up to AED 2500-3000 per month for a good studio, closer to a Metro. It should have atleast a small working space, because sometime our jobs can be hybrid, where we have to work from home as well.

One thing I learned here is. There is no saving here, You earn, you spend that's it.
