Railway Fans please help. What is the current total number trains and coaches operated by SLR?

Can anyone give me a precise or at least a ballpark figure? I tried the website and some fb fan groups / pages, no one seems to know an exact amount. Some people guessed widely varying figures.

By trains and coaches, I meant total complete trains and number of rail cars or kocchi pettis operated by SL Railway.

Sri Lanka Railway operates approximately 396 trains which include 67 Long-Distance and 16 Intercity trains and carries about 3.72 Million passengers daily. SLR owns and maintains 1561km of rail tracks, 72 locomotives, power sets 78, 565 carriages and the signalling network. 31 Aug 2016

396 trains? I think that's a widely over inflated figure, or perhaps the total number of trains run (including same one multiple times a day up and down) 72 locomotives seems about right though, so I guess that means around 60 trains in the real sense right?

I think 565 carriages are a lower figure as well. (or perhaps they are defining in some weird way). Most trains have at least 10 carriages right?

LOL if that's so, you just gave me a totally useless answer right? I think I was clear that I was asking the total number of trains available, not the ones doing multiple trips. Yes the powerset carriages maybe counted as one because they are actually under self power. Anyway thanks.
