Guys.

Please let me know how you guys manage your finance every month. As a salaried person.

I'm having a very tough managing my salary at the end of the day. I do keep track of my expenses. I'm not spending in-vain, just paying the bills, rental and day-to-day stuff.

Very hard to save, even though I tried a lot.

I live with my wife and the baby.

This is the way I folllow 2 years back

25% for Retirements and Savings
25% for Bill payments (CC 0% Installments plans)
25% for Jousehold expenses
25% for Other unexpected expenses

Now >

25% for Retirements and Savings
25% for Bill payments (CC 0% Installments plans)
50% for household expenses

When unexpected expense comes >> use CC

It's almost impossible to save these days.

1. First thing you must do after receiving the monthly salary is set aside an amount as long term savings. Transfer it to a separate account or open a fixed deposit or buy some gold.
2. Then create a crisis fund that is to be utilized for emergencies.
3. Spend the remainder on everything else.

Use an application like Spendee (or something similiar) it should be simple to use else you get fedup.

Put all the expenses do it for 2 3 months and see what you can reduce. You will be surprised about the amount we might just waste.

same here machan saving is a nightmare with a baby. It seems there is no straightforward way of saving.

I thought I'm the only one with this sort of difficulty.

separate a fix amount as savings in every month as soon as you got the salary to the hand. Then manage remaining balance as buckets. Ex- medicine, household, bills, daily expenses, unexpected fund. If there wasnt any unexpected after the end of the month transfer it into savings. Then you can gain a high saving in a shorter time.

Also it is ideal to having two savings as normal savings & for medical purposes.
