That`s a nice one! would love to try one out in person. I haven't tried a single Steinhart yet. There are no dealers where I live, been to about 30 watch shops in Japan last April, cant remember seeing any there either.

Out of that list, purely considering brand value, Tissot. This is mostly true around in the less than $1000 mark..

But the higher priced Tissot and Seiko`s are closing in towards Longines/Mido/Oris etc..., which are probably better brands i.e. >$1500 mark..

ඒක නිසා dicountinue කරන්න හදනවා කියලා. Not an offcial news. වරදින්න තියන ඉඩ තියෙනවා.
Anyway සල්ලි තියෙනවා නම් දැන්ම order කරන්න.
If discontinued, since gmt master is an iconic model value will be doubled instantly.

Entry level නම්, as a whole, i believe Hamilton has the biggest brand value.
Seiko නම් depends on the watch model, value එක වෙනස් වෙනවා.

Yeah, did some quick googling, looks like the rumour is around discontinuing the Pepsi and Sprite.

Even if I order now it's probably a 1 to 2 year wait (unless i get lucky), but will see. If discontinued, they'll offer whatever the color combo in production at that time.

Trying to decide between GMT 2 and Submarier. In steel, because i can't afford white-gold and I don't like any two tone metal stuff. But 90% towards GMT due to the following:

1. Size - submariner is a bit large but feels larger in my small wrist, the bracelet don't taper down like the GMT's either.
2. Like the practicality of dual time, submariner doesn't offer this
3. Feels like the Submariner is more common, plus I don't think the dive watch craze will last long, though they will most probably be in demand for a long time.

What do you think about the two?

For me obviously, GMT master 2
But with glide lock clasp.
I love the flexibility of jubilee bracelet than the 3 piece oyster bracelet.
Jubilee wraps in arm better than Oyster.
But seems only submariner has the glide lock clasp.
If you are switching between hot outdoors and air conditioned room. On the fly ratcheting clasps are a game changer.
It is very easy to find perfect fit, when arm swelling and metal bracelet expansion due to temperature changes.

Both are tool watches. Tool watch craze will last for more time.

Yeah true, I get the flexibility of the glide-lock clasp. Only issue is that the Submariner`s clasp itself is so long that it covers the entire bottom side of my tiny wrist . Literally cant see any bracelet when I roll the wrist, only clasp.

There`s an easy-link adjustment on GMT bracelet, though I haven't really tried adjusting those.
