My friend uses her hand instead of toilet paper and I'm honestly grossed out

My roll ran out so i gave her a clean roll and after she was done i went in and the roll wasn't touched. I asked her and she admitted she uses her hand.
I'm grossed out. I'm sorry. I just don't find it super sanitary. What if it gets under your fingernails?!
It would be different if I had, like, a bidet, but I don't.
Edit to clarify: her parents are sri lankan but she was born and raised in america. The way she answered my question made me think she doesnt use water because she said she washes her hands afterwards.
I dont care if people want to use their hands as long as they're sanitary about it. I personally don't have a bidet or keep water for this use though.
