IMF has very strong words about the Corruption in Sri Lanka's Inland Revenue Department and the Customs.
ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ආදායම් රැස් කරන දෙපාර්මේන්තු (දේශීය අදායම් දෙපාර්මේන්තුව හා ශ්රී ලංකා රේගුව) තුල කිසිදු ආකාරයේ දුෂණයට එරෙහි සංස්කෘතියක් නොපවතින අතර ඉහළ පරිපාලනය ඇතුළු සෑම තරාතිරමකම දූෂණය මුල් බැස ගෙන ඇත.
මෙම ආයතන තුල උසස්වීම් සම්පුර්ණයෙන්ම ජ්යෙෂ්ඨත්වය මත පදනම් වන අතර කුසලතාව, හෝ නායකත්ව හැකියාව, හෝ පුද්ගලයා කිසියම් ආකාරයකින් දුෂිතද යන්න සලකා නොබැලේ.
රේගු සහ දේශීය අදායම් දෙපාර්මේන්තු නිලධාරීන් ඔවුන්ගේ එම දෙපාර්මේන්තු තුල කිසිදු අවධානමකින් තොරව සිදුවන දූෂණයේ ඉහවහා ගිය තත්වය පිළිගනී. එමෙන්ම දුෂණය සම්බන්ධ චෝදනා වලදී ප්රතිවිපාක නොතිබෙන තරම්ය. - IMF
