I’ve got a bad feeling about Anura Kumara Dissanayake becoming president. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not a 'බයියා' or a 'ටොයියා,' but having Anura as president just feels off to me. There’s something about his vibe that gives me chills. I literally felt sick to my stomach when I found out he’s going to be our new president. It’s like we’re on a sinking ship with Anura as the captain.
When Ranil Wickramasinghe took over, I didn’t feel scared. I’m not saying Ranil’s perfect, yeah, he took loans, which is a big reason we’re in this economic mess in the first place but I always felt safer with him at the helm.
What worries me most about Anura is that he might turn into a people pleaser, and if that happens, we’re doomed. We could end up deep down on the ocean bed.
