    Multiplication and Division have the same priority. When they appear together in an expression, you must perform them strictly from left to right.
    It is not correct to perform multiplication before division, or vice-versa, unless one is contained within parentheses.

    This is true. When it comes to addition and subtraction, they have same priority but order doesn't matter. But in multiplication and division, same priority but order matters, so left to right.
