Average joe doesn't need money.they just want to eat,sleep,sex,grow a family etc. Maybe introduction of systems better than us will give humans the ability to think outside of earth.these monetary systems are not sustainable in the long term.We have limited resources but a growing population.Something need to happen unless mother nature does it for us.I'm really hopeful majority of humans will be jobless and i think it's good.Yeah top 1% will enjoy life average joe cant even dream of.they might be even go for immortal drugs.At least anti aging drugs.maybe it will be the new luxury.when average joe dies 80.rich will die 150.After all this is how i'm desining the world inside my head.LoL

Yeah maybe but i dont think china will sell robots to sri lanka.It's better to trade food for control.i mean money is just a tool for exchange. Sri lanka is not self sustainable and in a world controlled by machines.So the island in the indian ocean will have to choose a side.But this is all hypothetical but i'm hopeful.

Appreciate the honest take mchn. Shit's heavy right now.The "only the passionate survive" bit… I kinda agree in theory, but a lot of the 20 seniors we just let go were passionate as hell. They weren't coasting. Sometimes it's just brutal timing and bad luck, not lack of passion.

Hopefully all these disruptions will be fast so the impact for humans will be felt less.I get it most of these engineers have families depending on them.But this has to happen one day.This system is not sustainable at all.Countries just print money out of thin air backed mostly by innovation and human labor.But with what's happening in the world right now shit is about to hit the fan pretty soon.specially countries like Sri Lanka will get fucked up pretty bad.

As Head of Engineering I had to be part of the decision to let go 20 of our senior engineers today. Backend and frontend, proper seniors with 8–15+ years experience. These aren’t just names on a list..... these are people I’ve worked side-by-side with for years. They were all crushing it, no performance issues whatsoever. Zero.

It was 100% because of the brutal economic shitstorm in Australia right now. Rising costs, projects getting slashed, cash getting tight… we held on as long as we possibly could but we ran out of runway.

I feel sick about it. These guys carried us through so much.

This industry can be brutal sometimes....
