How to bring down the murder rate in SL..?

Aus has more population than SL but its murder rate is much less than SL..

Annual National Homicide Numbers

2024–25: 279 victims across 264 incidents

2023–24: 262 incidents (Rate of 0.98 per 100,000 people)

2022–23: 247 victims across 232 incidents (Rate of 0.87 per 100,000 people)

2019–20: 261 incidents (Rate of 1.02 per 100,000 people)

2 suggestions I make is..

1) a buy back program for firearms..

2) providing metal detector wands for the Police to detect knives..
