රත්නපුර, ගොඩිගමුව ප්‍රදේශයේ පිහිටි නිවසක තනිවම පදිංචිව සිටි, පෙර වසරක අවුරුදු කුමාරියක ලෙස කිරුළු පැළඳි තරුණියක ඇගේ නිවහන තුළදීම සැකකටයුතු ලෙස මියගොස් සිටියදී සොයාගෙන තිබේ. මෙලෙස අභිරහස් අන්දමින් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව ඇත්තේ ගමගේ නිසංසලා සඳමාලි නමැති 32 හැවිරිදි තරුණියකි.

මෙම මරණය පිළිබඳව රත්නපුර පොලිසිය විසින් මේ වන විට විශේෂ විමර්ශනයක් අරඹා ඇත.

පොලිසිය සඳහන් කරන්නේ මියගිය තරුණිය කලක පටන් මෙම නිවසේ අතිශය හුදකලා ජීවිතයක් ගත කර ඇති බවයි. ඇය ජීවත් වූ නිවසේ ප්‍රධාන ඇතුළු වන දොරටුව සාමාන්‍යයෙන් නිතරම වසා තැබීමට ඇය වගබලාගෙන තිබේ. කෙසේ වෙතත්, ඉකුත් 7 වැනිදා සිට එම දොර දිගින් දිගටම විවෘතව පවතිනු දුටු අසල්වාසීන්ට ඒ පිළිබඳව බරපතළ සැකයක් මතු වී ඇති අතර, ඒ අනුව ඔවුන් වහාම ක්‍රියාත්මක වී මේ පිළිබඳව රත්නපුර පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත දැනුම් දී ඇත.

එම දැනුම්දීමට අනුව පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් කණ්ඩායමක් අදාළ නිවසට ගොස් පරීක්ෂා කිරීමේදී මෙම තරුණිය නිවසේ තිබූ ඇඳක් මත අප්‍රාණිකව වැතිර සිටිනු සොයාගෙන තිබේ. ඇය මියගොස් සිටි අවස්ථාවේ සිරුරේ උඩුකයට පමණක් ටී-ෂර්ට් එකක් හැඳ සිටි බවත්, සිරුරේ පහළ කොටස නිරුවත් තත්ත්වයෙන් පැවති බවත් පොලිස් පරික්ෂණවලදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත.
