This seems too much guys!!!

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) really anoying....true!
But these pictures are not of a Carpal Tunnel Decompression (CTD) surgery.
CTD is an outpatient procedure done all around the country...Our surgeons are well experienced in this minor procedure which take only 5-10 minutes and done under local anaesthesia.

You may have a look at this clip...this is an open surgery, similarly performed in Sri Lanka. Endoscopic procedure also available and it is much comfortable for the patient and less traumatic.

You can avoid Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

This is a very important tread for computer users. So I want to share my experience too.

I suffered with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). My left hand was affected in 1987, at the time CTS was rarely known. Due to which I had to face lots of medical tests I went through a very bad time physically as well mentally. Almost after 10 months suffering it was diagnosed as CTS. I recovered with a surgery. Unfortunately again on 1991 my right hand got affected with CTS. That too treated with surgery.

At present CTS treatment surgery is a simple procedure. But surgical treatment success heavily depends on post surgery physiotherapy sessions; because that is the essential stage restore entire mechanism - of golden arm.

Cause for CTS is mainly continuous keyboard usage and improper seating arrangements. Until late 90s there was not much ergonomically designed computer furniture.

You can get more info from following WebMd link:
    http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/carpal-tunnel/default.htm

I use two documents to educate people on CTS; it is difficult to find correct URLs of them, therefore uploaded (latests were downloaded in year 2007).

Not only computer keyboard users are prone to CTS. It may occur in people use power tools for a long as well one use palm or wrist to crush garlic bulbs in day to day meal preparation.

You can avoid Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
    • Use ergonomically designed computer furniture
    • Practice proper seating
    • Take frequent breaks
    • Educate everyone on CTS, it can be avoided!
Today computer usage is very high. If not taken care of oneself CTS risks is too high!
