you never know who you are gna hang ...how can one be so certain that somebody is definity guilty and deserve it. what if you are mistaken? so no. ..i know lots of guys who deserve it are out there..but no..the risk of ending somebody's life who don't deserve it is not worth it.

Its not about courts! Its about how can u be so sure that someone is that guilty and needs to put to death?
Yes we need courts, and people should be judged for their mistakes, but giving someone a death penalty and then u can't turn back some mistakes making in the trial when someone is already death!!!

course yeah ...if you are doing life for something you didnt do theres chance to prove you innocent but death is never a turn back..you can't make it up to the dead..

the media and govermenyt must annoucne that death penalty is active..
then there will be a reduction of crimes
but really we dont have to kill anybody
if the criminal is given death penalty
govenrmet can make a hoax
a fake drama ,like killing that man
but actually he is not killed
but the government can show the media how he kileld like (fake)
then people will get scared(criminals)
and there will be a decres of crimes

But WE CAN NOT TRUST OUR HIGH PEOPLE, the people who should make jugdements like those!!!!
We cannot trust our politicians that they won't use this system for their own personal things.
Can you garantuee that our 'high educated people' are good people, who don't abuse it? IF they already
do nasty things, god knows what will happen then with that system!

As a measure to curb serious crimes in Sri Lanka, the new Minister of Justice and Judicial Reforms, Milinda Moragoda has decided to reintroduce the death penalty, ministry secretary Suhada Gamlath says.

The Minister is to have discussions on the issue immediately after President Mahinda Rajapaksa returns from Egypt, he adds.

Convicts of serious crimes, including drug dealers, sentenced to death, are planning more crimes from their prison cells using mobile phones, Mr. Gamlath says.
