It is said there were 11 Ravans found in Sinhalese history such as
Nala Ravana, Manu ravana, Punu ravana and Dasis Ravana. The most famous Ravana is the king who fought with Indian hindu prince Rama.
He is called Dasis Ravana which means the king with 10 great talents. The Dasis Ravana lived lived nearly 5000years ago in Sri Lanka. He was a descendant of Surya Wansha and Hela Raskshasa tribe.

He was one of the best fighters in Angampora, the traditional martial arts of ancient Sinhale.
King Dasis Ravana was a great Scholar in Ayurvedic medicine.
He was the person who invented Arka Shastra. The book Arka Prakshaya reveals this truth to the present world. As his willing to research in Ayurvedic medicine he wrote several books revealing the cures for many diseases. In one book he wrote "
Eating beef cause to infect ninety eight new diseases to human beings". The book "
Kumara Tantraya" which reveals the treatments for infant diseases was written by him accepting the request of his pregnant queen Mandodari.
He has children and the eldest one was Indrajith also known as Meghanada who followed his father's steps. There are some hints in Sri Lankan rock inscriptions about the daughter of king Dasis Ravana.
King Ravana's kingdom was Lankapura. The kingdom is almost disappeared today. But If you keen on Sri Lankan folklore and ola manuscripts there
you can find some remaining sites of Lankapura today known as Seegiriya and Trincomalee.
He was the first king flew over the world with his aero plane, known as Dandumonaraya or Vimanaya, Kashtawahana.
Some evidence of Dandumonaraya the aeroplane is found in Rock inscriptions, Jataka Stories and Ola manuscripts. The Sinhalese folk stories are enriched with Ravana Stories.
There are more than 300 Sinhalese village names related to king Ravana era. In addition, there are some more places and remains in which the Rama Ravana war took place in Sri Lanka.

“Isurumuni Pem Yuwala” is another famous carving made on a rock which is located in an ancient city in Sri Lanka known as Anuradhapura today.
According to the facts that we have obtained through our researches, we conclude that this craft represents “Rishi Wishrawas and Mother Kaikasi’.
Rish “Wishrawas and Mother Kaikasi” are the parents of “Ravana, Vibhishana, Kubhera and Kumbhakarna”.
Why do we say this carving represents rishi “wishrawas and mother kaikasi” and how do we prove that?
The male statue is wearing a sacred thread which is normally worn by rishis (like in statue of rishi “Pulastya”) known as “ura noola” in Sinhala. “Wishrawas” was a great philosopher, and a Yogi Brahman who devoted his life for meditation and peaceful living.
The male statue in this carving carries a sword and the posture way demonstrate is royal matches not for a commoner but a higher personality like royal. Rishi “Wishrawas” not just a ordinary rishi who expertise in meditation but also in other skills like war skills, martial arts, astrology, magic, and country administrations.
Base on these facts we provide a new dimension to look at this great creation and we also have new idea about the creators of this. We believe this is made by “Ravana, Vibhishana, Kubhera and Kumbhakarna” as a respect to their beloved parents. The shrine made for parents i.e “Ma piya Devaalya”

The research team which has been working on this mystery mission for long has recently revealed that they're aware about a spot called Rangala,where Ravana's body has been placed since long in a 17ft. coffin.
The cave where the Ravana's body is laying is inaccessible and many previous attempts to reach there failed due to some strange reasons like tiger,snake and bee attacks and worst weather conditions.
Only one attempt has been successful and that was about 20-years ago.The tribal man who went there and saw it all-is still alive.
Few days ago an Indian news channel (Zee News) got yet another interesting facts regarding the ancient life saver medicine "Sanjeevani Buti".The research team told this news T.V.that Ravana's body seemed to be smeared with Sanjeevani paste.The medicine was also used to save laxaman's life,who was younger brother of Ram and badly injured in the war with Ravana's army.
In yet another incident when Ravana kidnapped Sita (The wife of Ram.)and took her off to Ashoka vatica (Where she was confined.)in his Pushpak aircraft, she had complain of headache and vomiting tendency(A jet leg perhaps!!) Ravana then offered some sanjeevani tablets.Sita out of her angerness didn't take those tablets and threw them away.
Now the T.V. reports say that some people still possess those tablets and considered to be helpful to quick-fix any ailments.Does those sanjeevani Buti have any relation with Albera plants? Facts so far are favourable as the medical science has recognised it's potentials.
The existence of super aircraft pushpak has also been discovered by the research team.They have shown an old picture of a metalic hawk(-with in built flying machine-I guess.)..and airports.
