The tech deal of the decade has finally been sealed. After 18 months of circling one another, Microsoft and Yahoo! have teamed up to tackle Google's apparently unshakeable dominance of the online search and advertising market.

Negotiations between the two were no doubt explosive. Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's chief executive, is known for his wild expostulations while Yahoo!'s Carol Bartz delights journalists with her expletive-peppered press conferences. We can only imagine what the pair were like behind closed doors.

Competition is good, it makes their services more enhanced thus a win-win situation for customers.

On a side note, 1st thing both MS and yahoo (specially the latter) must do is to get rid of their annoying advertisements. Anyways buckle up you couple , beating google shouldn't be easy.

Don't keep high trust about anything in Information Technology. Only thing we can safely assume is others will become more competitive than now for Google, and also Google will not tolerate that and they will have their own action plan to keep ahead.
And as consumers we look forward for more feature rich application freeeee!!!
