, Samsung is one of the leading LCD manufacturers in the world. It is one of the few companies that actually manufactures LCD panels, most other big computer companies like Acer, DELL, HP, IBM are just using someone else’s LCD panel inside their monitor. They only assemble the monitor and put their logo on it. I highly recommend Samsung as a brand.
BUT, all brands, Samsung, LG, Sony .. whatever it is, has good monitors and few bad apples. Since most Srilankan computer dealers are always trying to maximize their profit, they don't care about quality, they'll import the cheapest model they can get their hands on.
Maybe there are lot of low-end Samsung models in Sri Lanka, but that doesn't mean all Samsung models are bad. Without knowing the exact model, you cannot say if it is good or bad. There are so many things to consider.
Best thing to do is go to some shops and write down all the model numbers, then try to find a good pro reviews on the internet. Spces will not help you much either, cos most monitors have almost identical specs..
