In the present context & the setup of the team there is no need of a "Atapattu Role" player. And Thilan is not a opener anyway. And about Mahela Udawatta, yes he should have been included. But Tharanga has scored well in the last match, so that might have tilted the balance in his favor. Anyway right now we have many who can open with Sanath ( Dilshan, Mahela J).
