The CID arrested a Supplies Officer of the Tourism Ministry for the alleged distribution of nude women’s photos which he showcased as pictures taken at the recently held Hikkaduwa Beach Festival. A CID official said that the suspect had sent the nude pictures he received via e-mail after inserting a caption claiming it was from Hikkaduwa.
Three employees of the Narcotics Information Centre arrested earlier for the alleged distribution of porno pictures at the Hikkaduwa Beach Festival have already been remanded till the 22nd of September. The CID had started its investigations based on a complaint by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board on the alleged distribution of Porno Photos with the intension of blemishing Sri Lanka’s name.
