International Monetary Fund to re-open its Colombo office
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will open its Colombo office on October 10 after a lapse of almost three years, the Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal said. The IMF closed down its Colombo office and left Sri Lanka on January 31, 2007 saying that there was not much work for the global financial giant in this country. (SAJ)

Yes, IMF, you should be there to monitor proper use of IMF funds. Also it will help you to monitor the actions against humanity by GOSL, freedom of speech/press and freedom of movement etc etc.

INVITE WIMAL.W AS CHIEF GUEST.

A God given opportunity for Wimal, who is now down and out, to get up and organize a protest campaign and placard display against this encroachment by an imperialist agency into free, sovereign, Chinthana Sri Lanka. If this is allowed, the "plug" will be firmly back in the socket.

Kugan, they are satisfied with the way GOSL use the 1st instalment of IMF. That's why they are here to facilitate for the 2nd instalment of the loan. Also they are not here to monitor human rights and all. They have specific jobs here and they are not suppose to pork others problems as you all do.

Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! . IMF is back on SriLankan soil. Is this the same organaization chased out of SL by so called patriots? My dear friend Wimal Weerawansa should be invited as chief guest for the opening ceremony , as suggested by Peter , quite correctly. But one problem . Will Wimal remove the plug again , as he promised some time back? We still see this man talks big on political meetings and stages, but from where is he talking is our problem. Surely he cant be talking from his mouth as any sensible man cant change or eat his words as this man does. Good show Mr Weerawansa , keep going. You will end up in a very good place in future as you have been showing signs of this from the begining.
