Guys! i'm thinking of buying a laptop which is great for 3D animation and Video Editing, Currently i'm thinking of either Dell XPS 16 or Macbook 13.3. Which of these two you guys recommend?

Thanks wewa! :):):):)

DELL XPS 16 vs a Macbook 13.3 …. You couldnt have picked two other notebooks that are further apart in terms of features, function and portability LOL .... :P

My personal choice is DELL, because you get a better CPU, much better graphics card (almost 2x faster), More RAM and a BluRay Drive. I mean is there any reason why you want to ask this question? Macbook is not even in the same league when performance and features are considered. The only good thing about that particular Mac is it’s portability and perhaps styling (if you like Mac style that is… ). If size and portability is not a problem then the choice is clear as it can ever be .

If you are planning to run Windows then there is absolutely no point in buying that Mac, cos you get Vista (with a free upgrade to 7) with DELL, whereas you have to buy Vista or 7 if you want it on the MAC. Unless you are a diehard OSX user I see no reason even consider this.

Non of these good for what you want to do. Go for PC if you want to do 3D animations or Video Editing. Mobile processors made to use less power and generate low heat. That makes Mobile processors weak.

If we talk about those two as laptops. Macbook will be Good coz Laptops with high specs too Heavy to carry and make lot of heat. Macbook is Stylish but it is not worth for the money

But If we talk about Performence, Dell Studio XPS 16 is Good coz it has better processor and GPU. also price is Cheap

(Are you going to do Animations/Editing with 13" screen ? :P)

If you going to use Video Editing applications, Buy a laptop with better processor and more ram.
