Sri Lanka’s National Mobile services provider, Mobitel announced a new communication package to all UPAHARA customers. The new package offers customers five supplementary connections with the ‘Senehase’ UPAHARA connections together with an advantageously priced high speed internet package.
This economically priced data package said Chairperson Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel Mrs. Leisha De Silva Chandrasena, is a mark of gratitude to customers for their patronage.
‘Senehase’ UPAHARA customers will benefit from the low call rates in conjunction with the high speed internet connection. The 3.5G high speed internet connection with its 1GB monthly data bundle is expected to be highly popular with customers and its monthly rental rate of Rs. 240 makes it more attractive

The current subscription number is in excess of 550,000 and the numbers are expected to increase.Among the added benefits of the new package are 50 minutes free video calls within the Mobitel network, low monthly rental costs, and economical rates for SMS and MMS. The ‘Senehase’ UPAHARA package is aimed at bringing mobile telephony further within reach of hundreds of thousands of state sector employees and pensioners across the island.
