Metroplitan Rejected Claiming Accer International Warranty - Help!!!!!!!!!

My Accer laptop gone down which was bought from Malaysia with International Warranty. Then I went Metropolitan head office to claim my warranty which is warranty period. They said they do not know about Accer international warranty. They just allows claim Accer laptops which bought from them. They are the Sri Lankan agent of Accer. But international warranty can not be claimed from them. Is there any one claimed Accer international warranty on Sri Lanka?

When you search Acer global site for support in Sri lanka you get Acer Computer (Singapore) Pte Ltd. So it looks to me like there are no real local agents for Acer in SL. Most companies like Metropolitan, Softlogic etc. are not real Agents, they are just distributors. Call that number and ask. You should be able to ship it to them for repairs, but I guess you'll have to pay shipping charges.

Same thing happen to me with Softlogic for a DELL notebook. When I argued with them finally they admitted that they are not real agents of DELL, instead they are like local distributors/resellers. So they don’t have the authority to handle international warranty claims directly.

What is the exact problem ? If it is a small thing, then perhaps you can fix it yourself by replacing the defective part.

Problem with batteries which have warranty. Cost is abt 20000.

Hmm...., a replacement battery will not cost 20k if you order from US or some other country. Most likely 10k max. Or you can find a chap Chinese duplicate for around 5~6000 on eBay (with shipping to SL)
