CID Director who stated General will get over 50% is denigrated

The CID Director who furnished a survey report that, if General Sarath Fonseka contest the Presidential election as a common candidate he would secure more than 50% of the votes has been transferred to the Police Headquarters with immediate effect.
It is learnt that , because the Director gave out this report in favor of the General ‘s popularity , he had earned the disfavor of the Superior Officers.
Meanwhile, Sunimal Fernando , the assistance that was to be sought from an American Co. for Presidential elections by the Presidential advisor Sunimal Fernando who visited them has also been suspended on instructions from the top.
According to the surveys conducted by certain sections of the media , it has been found that , if Gen. Fonseka contests the Presidential election he would receive 50 to 58 % votes, those media reports reveal.
