Ranil challenges President to reveal details of LTTE assets

By Sujith Mangala de SilvaOpposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday challenged President Mahinda Rajapaksa to reveal to the country the details of LTTE assets that had been extracted from the outfit’s international leader KP alias Kumaran Padmanathan.
Padmanathan was recently captured by the Sri Lankan authorities at a hotel in Malaysia and was taken to Sri Lanka where he was now being detained.
Speaking at a seminar organized by the “Nidahase Wedikava” held in Matara, Mr. Wickremesinghe called upon the government not to put those assets under the “Rajapaksa Brothers and Co” and wanted the government to reveal all details of the assets in Parliament.
He challenged the government to place those details before the nation today if possible.
He questioned as to what happened to those assets and monies that were in possession of Padmanathan.
