(Lanka-e-News 09.Jan.2010 9.00PM) President Rajapakse is due to visit Jaffna tomorrow (10) in connection with his election campaign. As part of his campaign, a poster of the President in Jaffna depicts Rajapkse with a pottu and appearing as a Tamil with ashes on his forehead. But, the worst irony of it is ,this poster includes in it a picture of Vijaya Kumaratunge.
President Rrajapakse who forgot even to attend any commemoration ceremony or any function in relation to Late Kumaranatunge has deemed it right to use his picture for his Presidential campaign . His remembrance of Kumaranatunge just to win votes is the most cruel irony of it all.
The picture below shows the rulers who could do nothing to rebuild the houses destroyed following the war in Jaffna have in the posters built imaginary houses for the devastated Jaffna people.
