ඇතැම් අවස්ථාවලදී නොයෙකුත් රජයේ ආයතන මැතිවරණයකදී කළයුතු නොකළයුතු දේ හදුනා නොගෙන කටයුතු කළා.
ඇතැම් අය මට චෝදනා කළා මට අයිතිව තිබෙන්නේ ඡන්ද පෙට්ටියක් රැගකන්න එකත් ඒවා ගණන් කරන එකත් විතරයි කියලා. නමුත් දැන් තිබෙන තත්වය යටතේ ඡන්ද පෙට්ටියවත් රැක ගන්න බැහැ. මේ තත්වය තුළ මම කටයුතු කළේ ඉතා අපහසුවෙන් සහ සිත් වේදනාවකින්.
මම ඕනෑ කමින් ඉල්ලා සිටිනවා මේ තත්වය මට පාලනය කරගන්න බැරි තත්වයකට දැන් පත්වෙලා තියනවා. ඒ වගේම මගේ වයස ඉක්මවා මම වසර 8ක් සිට තිබෙන නිසා මාව නිදහස් කරන්න.
මේ ආතතිය තත්වයක් යටතේ මට කටයුතු කරන්න බැහැ. ඒක මට අහිතකරයි. මට කුමක් හෝ සිදු වුණාම විද දරාගන්න සිදුවන්නේ මටමයි.
ප්රාදේශීය නායකයන් අපිට බොහොම කරදර කළා. පුත්තලම, අනුරාධපුර, මාතලේ දිස්ත්රික්වල ගණන් කිරීමේ මධ්යස්ථානවල පවා අපට කරදරකලා. මෙය හොද ප්රවනතාවක් නොවෙයි. මේවා දිස්ත්රික් මට්ටමේ තේරීම්භාර නිලධාරීන්ට සහ සහකාර මැතිවරණ කොමසාරිස්වරුන්ට පාලනය කළ නොහැකි තත්වයක් උදා වුණා. ඔවුන්ටත් අසභ්ය වචනයෙන් බැණ වැදිලා එලවපු අවස්ථාවන් උදා වුණා.
අප කටයුතු කරන කොට යම්යම් අය අපට චෝදනා කළා පාක්ෂග්රාහීව කටයුතු කරනවා කියලා අපට චෝදනා නගනවා. මේ තත්වය විද දරා ගන්න මට නම් පුළුවන්කමක් නැහැ. මාගේ විද දරාගැනීමේ ශක්තිය දැන් දුර්වල වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. ඒක ප්රධාන කාරණයක්.
මැතිවරණ කොමසාරිස්වරයාගේ මෙම ප්රකාශයන් හරහා පෙනීයන්නේ ඔහු ඉතා දැඩි පීඩණයක් යටතේ තමාගේ හෘද ශාක්ෂියට එකඟ නොවන ප්රතිඵලයක් නිකුත් කර ඇති බව නොවේද?
ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අපට දැනට පැවසිය හැක්කේ සත්යය කිසිදා යටපත් කළ නොහැක්කක් බව පමණි.

It is evident from the results released that the incumbent President suffered a massive loss, but shown the world a totally different result by manipulating the same.
It has been found that the Elections Secretariat was invaded by Presidential sibling Basil Rajapakse and his forces at around 3.00 am on the 27th January 2010 after erecting a chain-link barricade on the Parliament Road, which leads to the Secretariat. He then forced the Commissioner of Elections out of his seat and took control of all the affairs at the Secretariat thus starting to release the election results according to a pre-planned mechanism. The voters in the country are flabbergasted of the final result, which gives the incumbent President a lead over 1,800,000million votes and some glaring situations such as a loss in the Colombo District which has been a stronghold of the opposition from time immemorial.
The statement made by the Secretary of Defense to one state owned media a few days prior to the elections declaring that he would be the one who will issue orders on the 27th January irrespective of who wins the elections is a clear indication of the Government’s vindictive plan to rig the final tally of the election result. Furthermore, the incumbent President at the last election rallies declared that there will not be any “preferential vote” in future and also that he would be the “President” on the 27th January irrespective of any result. These are very clear indications of the pre-planned conspiracy.
As there was a great difficulty in rigging the poll at polling stations due to the ever vigilant electorate, the Rajapakse regime finally resorted to the above tactics, which are totally undemocratic and it is astonishing that the civilized world is keeping mum on the situation which is a replica of the Iranian elections.
