Don't worry; not all humans will ever realize nirvana. The rest of them can go on suffering to their heart's content.

Think my friends....Its true that lust(raga)is what that will make person lag behind nirvana.Bt provided that all people get there mind free from raga'will make an earth without human beings. Can you think of reproduction of human without raga?

What I feel is raga make people(a couple) together.A couple make a child. Its true that Birth is the start of suffering.Bt think about makind....From which point this issue should clarified.

No, it seems you have misunderstand it. My simple answer to your complication as follows;

According to the Buddhist Philosophy average general people observe five precects. But people who observe sil on poya days, should follow 8 or 10 precects, who supoose to have more restriction rather. This will more complicate and complex to monks as they observe more precects than above 2 cases.

If anybody follows the five precects correctly and who lives acccordingly, he/she can avoid sin. Those who can live naturaliy as accrding to ethics of the world. if you breach any of precects you will resulted with sin(s) accordingly.

Further he/she can't attain nibbana simply doing that, which needs much more dedication and commitments to practise.

I hope this will help to clear your doubts now.

Treple Gem Bless to You.

Raga is not what makes a couple together. its understanding between them that makes together. Ragaya sithe balawatwa pawathinawanam E couple 1ta wadi kaleyak 1ta inna wenne na.

Oya kollonge kellonge mola thada wenawa kiyala api kiyanne Ragaya 1 paratama wadiwela pawathina kalawalata.(Hethuwak nathiwa neme ehema wadi wenne) E kaleta dannawane kattiya karaganna dewal.

And for your record Ragaya nathiwenne Arahat bawayata path unamai. Ehema nathuwa Sowan Sakudagamai kiyana shrawakayan thulat raga sithiwili yam pramanayakata pawathinawa pawathinawa.

Budu Dahame Agra upasthaikawa Sowan pal labuwek. Namuth Eya Eta passe Daruwan wisi denek labuwa. Namut e eyage swamiyata dawa. Anacharaye hasirila neme.

Anika ithin BUDU DAHAMA thiyenne buddhimathun udesa. Siduhat kumarayatat hitiya lassana wife kenek. et dala giye atta watahaganna thiyena onikamata. ragayen dawi dawi indala windawanawada, ehema nathinam Ragaya nathikarana wadapiliwela anugamanaya karanawada karana 1 ENTIRELY YOUR CHOISE

Raga and Viraga

I think this reply will be very useful for your discussion.
This is what I submited as an explanation for Dilakshika's Brahmaswadaya Thread..!

Brahmaswadaya in English

The Raga is something that forms in a human mind. Buddha saw it as a mere concept that dwells in one’s mind due to failure in realizing the true nature of things. It actually forms depending on how someone thinks about the signs generated based on a figure (e.g., a man or a woman) that the person sees.

If a boy looks at a girl and start thinking about the beauty of her body in a lustful way, then the Raga will be generated in his mind. However, that same boy does not look at his sister in that same way even if she is beautiful. It is the same with his mother. If somehow a lustful thought came to his mind regarding his sister or mother, he will immediately suppress the thought by dishonoring it and even himself. This means that Raga will not be formed if we look at each other like the way we look at our sisters, mothers, brothers, and fathers. Therefore, the Raga is something that forms depending on the type of concept we make on what we see and feel. If someone understood how the Raga is being formed whenever lustful thoughts come forth and if he also explored if that beauty of what roused the Raga really exists in the figure or in the feeling, then that person will start to see another side that has never been seen before.

Let us explore some parts of a female body that are being generally thought of as attractive.

A lady with gorgeous eyes…
“Her eyes look gleaming, wide, and the way she stares from the edges of her eyes makes her look pretty and attractive.” These are some of the concepts of female eyes that generate lustful thoughts in a man’s mind. If someone on the other hand tries to think the truth of the eyes, then that person will start to realize the true nature of them. That is, “even though this eye looks wide, it is a ball… its gleaming character is coming from tears… when the tears are dried out, it is the mucus of the eyes that will be formed… not pearls… these eyes are made out of flesh… eyes are impermanent… and they are temporary… they are prone to obliteration and death…”

When someone thinks in a manner like mentioned above, the craving and Raga formed because of the false realization of the eyes will be disappeared. That person will never become attached to the eyes again. It is because only the true nature of the eyes is now seen and not the deception that is being created by the Raga. The drop of tear that is being created by thoughts composed of Raga is like a pearl, but it is a lie…! Since the Raga creates a lie, the pleasure coming from it is actually a false sensation (like a bogus trick of a magician). It is like the pleasure of a patient of hives gained by scratching the rash. Even though he thinks scratching as a pleasure, it is not. Because the rash gets worst each time it was scratched. Similarly, Raga also makes the person become suffered when it was welcomed more and more deceptively.

Viragee is...
This is why it is important and invaluable to become free from lust (or become asexual). This state of being asexual is called the Viragee (Viraga is the opposite word of the noun Raga, and Viragee is the adjective of Viraga. Likewise, Ragee is the adjective of Raga. Thus, Viragee means being departed from Raga) or free of Raga. It is the living without Raga by disdaining lust and generating pure thoughts and feelings not composed of Raga. The mind without Raga will be weightless. That person will be like a cured patient from hives and will not have to scratch again since the rash is gone. That scratching was a joke, a pain, and always a pain for that person from now on. That person felt happy when he was scratching the hives even though the rash makes him more painful afterwards. This happened because the sensitivity towards the true pleasure was distorted when he was suffered with hives (the Raga).

Thus, it is like a man having hives if he is to look at a woman lustfully or filled with Raga. He is then like enjoying by scratching that rash. If he does not have that hives (the Raga), then he can look at that woman without lust or with a mind of Viragee thoughts. Then, that man will never hurt the woman. He will not succumbed by her figure or even lose his goodnight sleep. He will not see a significant difference between a coconut tree and her, so called, beautiful figure. Since it was a wisdom acquired by realizing the true nature of the body filled with smelly odors and dirt (feces), it will not be a temporary understanding. It will be secured as the truth of what is being comprehended.

Brahmaswadaya...
Becoming Viragee is not an abandonment of all living things. It is the perception of the true nature of things with wisdom and awareness without letting Raga to cloud the mind. Once a person reached this state he will be called a “Brahmacharee”(The person who lives without sexual actions (worldly pleasures) is called a Brahmacharee). Like a patient enjoys after curing himself from hives that he was suffered with, the person who became a Brahmacharee enjoys the serene pleasure known as the “Brahmasvadaya”…!

I think the point is clear to you now. If you read my post again and again, then you will come across what Buddha taught us about Raga and Viraga, and also about the temporary hurtful sensation one gets out of Raga. You will also be able to understand what Buddha told us about the comfortable happiness that one gets to feel by becoming Viragee.

In fact, Buddha told us that his Dhamma (Dhamma is what Buddha taught us. Therefore, it is the text of Buddhism) is for the wise people. Therefore, you will realize that you do not have the rash (the Raga) anymore if you let your wisdom to rise. Meditation plays an important role in Buddhism. It helps a person becoming wise to realize Dhamma. If someone is keep choosing the illness (hives) refusing the meditation, then that person will be unfortunate and have to keep scratching his rash.

The decision is yours…!

Jaya...!
