Well... I too think Akon is only partially wrong here...

It's the perception of other Asians given to the western world about Buddhism that's at work here (we talked about this long time ago in EK)..

I don't expect Akon to know what Buddhism is... he must be thinking if Americans can wear a cross and dance semi naked how come this is so different.. in his thinking its no big deal.. just another exotic backdrop!

Do I like AKON coming to Sri Lanka? Well... as long as he adhere to rules of the country and can respect who we are.. I don't see any problem..

that is not the problem here why on earth they use Buddha statue behind that. statue is not related to that song. even the meaning and everything not even close. I felt like they are teasing on that statue. so the mean of that they use to insult or make a flame or hurt Buddhist people that what im talking about neither akon or akon songs. i dont know why most of buddhist people dont understand. may be its not big deal because noone cant insult a religion like Buddhism. but there are fact we have to talk about that. I know its for you this will not make any sense but if you use Ur brain u will understand intimate part of this story. obviously there is an ugly truth behind this even u accept or not.
