have some spoilers
is it spoiling enough ?:D
hey i wonna describe this word spoilers for those who are confused what spoiler is.In most of reviews u may have cn spoiler alerts ...In most cases IMDB reviews.
Spoiler alert is some warning given beforehand that "this particular review is revealing the plot of the fiction, which in turns ruins the enjoyment of the fiction."
It is a rule of good reviewers not to reveal the plot or do not "use spoilers "in their critical article unless it is compulsory to do so for particular section of their review.:D

Just finished watching Guy Richie's abomination of a Sherlock Holmes. As an action movie, its pretty good. As a Sherlock Holmes story, its disastrous. Gone is the masterful and aloof Homles as he's easily manipulated by both Moriarty and Irene. And he actually has feelings for Irene. Something the original Holmes does not have.
He has clearly stated several times that he is no admirer of the female.
The story telling is just so off from a Conan Dolye style that its easy to predict the outcome that it demeans Holme's powers of deduction.
In the movie, he barely has any as the viewer is presented first hand, with the evidence exactly as how Holmes perceived it so that the viewer can come to the same conclusion as Holmes.
Also the Watson of the movie is almost on par with Holmes when it comes to deductive power. This combination again kills the amazing deductive powers that Holmes is supposed to have.
Also the dynamic between Holmes and Watson is totally different, rather like a Victorian Starsky and Hutch. Also the characters have totally lost the Victorian gentle class touch and vocabulary. The only character that stays close to the book is Inspector Lestrade.
Another major blunder is the way the characters were twisted out of original character. In this version, Holmes doesnt know who Mary Mortsan is when in fact he knows her well as it was Mary Morstan who consults Holmes to solve the mystery of the Sign of four and its through this consultation that she meets Watson.
Also, as the story is set in 1891, this puts the story at a time where Watson is already married and Holmes is at the pinnacle of his fame.
At this point in his carrier, he has already solved several cases that involves various royal families including the British one and the premier himself has consulted Holmes. Under such circumstances, there's no way a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
As an action movie set in the Victorian age, its good. As a suspense mystery thriller that is a Sherlock Holmes story, its a disaster.

that might be a mistake. While its a poor Sherlock Holmes movie, its a good movie never the less. Both Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law gives strong performances. Law's Watson might be outperforming RDJ's Holmes.

Best you look at it and judge for yourself.
