    • In Colombo district, the leader of the National Freedom Front (NFF), Wimal Weerawansa, has topped the preferential votes ahead of many senior ministers.

    • Environment Minister Champika Ranawaka has come second followed by Minister Dinesh Gunawardene.

    • Both Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama and Justice Minister Milinda Moragoda have reportedly lost their seats.

    • Popular actor Ranjan Ramanayake won one of three seats from the UNP, journalists say.
    • In Batticaloa, the UPFA partner TMVP lead by Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan has failed to secure a single seat;
    • While provincial minister and former parliamentarian MLAM Hisbullah has once again entered the parliament, former Minister Amir Ali has lost his seat.
    • In Jaffna, Minister Douglas Devananda has secured the most preferential votes but the district has been won by the TNA.

    i have to agree...except for milinda moragoda...the others deffa belong outside the parliament....

    especially koti-hugger ganesh....:lol::lol:

    shakthi TV (sirasa TV Tamil version) was complaining about it all day...music to my ears....:lol::lol:
