in japan....women are sexually assaulted in public transport (mainly trains) everyday....

they have constant earthquakes....& tsunamis.....

Japanese eat raw fish....almost exclusively.....not to mention dangerous fish like fuggi(blow fish)....& octopus, squids...god knows what else....this is all i found in restaurants...good luck getting a decent meal....

in japan....you can't even drive a nail in ur own home...with going around to ur neighbors apologizing for the disturbance....

Japanese ppl are weird.....they are such workaholics.....that they don't even bath right..especially in winter...they just use a wet towel to "get clean".....

and their customs...oh god....

good luck dude...YOU WILL NEED IT VERY BADLY.....and you will soon find out...that grass isn't so fresh & green either.....

i am proud of my country...coz the people are polite & helpful compared to the rest of the world (including Japan)....

i am proud of my country...coz i can live like a king here...not matter the financial situation....

i am proud of my country....coz of the paradise it is...(almost unlimited resources...and no natural disasters....the most stable country on earth....)

i am proud of my country....coz of my family.....

i am proud of my country....coz traveling is easy....

i am proud of my country....coz its diverse...and really diverse....

i am proud of my country.,..coz "racists" only exists online/anonymously....

i am proud of my country....coz it survived...CBK, a tsunami....& a 25+year war....as if it was nothing....

i am proud of my country...coz its ppl are strong...brave...& kind....in Haiti disaster struck...ppl looted each other...here everyday ppl opened their doors & hearts to strangers....during times of disaster....the July '83 riots & during the tsunami.....

i am proud of my country...coz its the best country on earth....period....

I can say that only because Sri Lanka's uniqueness.

Can you point out another country where you get mountains in the center of the country and yet can travel easily? Can you point out a country which has the same geography in Sri Lanka?

Can you point out a country where different religions and races live in peace? (at least for the time being).

Any country where people smile with everybody even though they have so much pain within them?

Any other country which has a great heritage and a history second to none?

Very small from its size, but have ruled the world in many fields... (Cricket 1996, Science - Chandra Wickremasinghe).

Only country which has wiped off terrorism from the face of the country.

Do you need anymore reasons to be proud as a Sri lankan?

in sri lanka one or two cases might be there...but if the public sees it anyone will try to stop it and apprehend the culprit...heck even i have stepped in to help a few women in buses out.......japan...not so....
