This is WAY better than the remake done in the 2000s.
Downloading the other 4 sequels.. :)

    i have a question bro.
what do u think? did they land on same Earth after 1000s of years.
In 2001 remake .They obviously returned to earth and found out Apes are ruling the planet.

yes. The story is made to show that they actually went forward in time and arrived on Earth at a time after a nuclear holocaust has wiped out the 'civilized' humans.

    ya that must be true
    The final dialog-
"We finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you. God damn you all to hell."

um,, the blown up statue of liberty didnt ring any bells ??
    :D

    found this piece of information.
    Book vs movie

1 The hero is not a French journalist named Ulysse Mérou, but an American astronaut named Colonel George Taylor.

2 The apes speak perfect 20th century English, while they spoke a wholly different language in the book. Ulysse has to learn it to get acquainted,

3 The humans wear primitive clothing of animal skins. They were naked in the novel.

4 In the original novel, the Planet of the Apes is located in the solar system of Betelgeuse and is not Earth. However the twist ending of the novel has Ulysse Mérou arriving back to Earth after his space flight to find out that it has taken the exact same evolutionary path and that the Apes are now in control.

This is smiler to 2001 movie

if the humans were naked in the movie, it'll have to be R rated. Goes for the remake too, :D

The apes speaking a different language makes a lot more sense but for a one and a half hour movie, thats a bit too much.

I want to watch master script writer Tissa abesekara's "Viragaya 1987"
It is said that his 3 hours long film was cut by editors for shorter screening time.
hence artistic quality was greatly reduced and couldn't win any international award.
Found only youtube links of Viragaya.
do we have links of best SL movies?

A 1997 government committee identified the following 10 films as the best of the first 50 years of Sri Lankan cinema:

1 "Nidhanaya" Lester James Peiris 1972
2 "Gamperaliya" Lester James Peiris 1963
    3 "Viragaya" Tissa Abeysekara 1987
4 "Bambaru Awith" Dharmasena Pathiraja 1978
5 "Sath Samudura" Siri Gunasinghe 1967
6 "Thun Mang Handiya" Mahagama Sekara 1970
    7 "Palangettiyo" Vasantha Obeysekera 1979
    8 "Dadayama" Vasantha Obeysekera 1983
9 "Rekava" Lester James Peiris 1956
    10 "Parasathumal" Gamini Fonseka 1966
    10 "Welikathara" D. B. Nihalsinghe 1970

May be this should change after inclusion of directors like "Prasana withanage"
"Somarathna Balasuriya" "Boody kerthisena" Asoka hadagama" "Jayantha Chandrasiri" "Benat Rathnayaka" after 2000 in to SL cinama

Not just 2000s, it needs to have the movies from the 90s as well.
    Movies like :
    "Seylama"
    "Paalama Yata"
    "Surabidena"
