I hate SONY since they use their own type of Memory card. And they are expensive and not accessible by other cams or card readers. So you can't use normal SD cards in SONY cams.

Not sure this is same in all the SONY cams.

I use Panasonic TZ4.
8.1MP
10X Optical zoom + 4X digital zoom.
Lithium iron battery. (Great battery life)
Best part is you can use the optical zoom while video recording.
