A new bill called the ‘Sri Lanka private universities bill’ will be presented soon to Parliament regarding private universities and institutions already existing in the country and those are to be established in the future said Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayake.
The Minister said the standard and the quality of the 78 private university institutions that already exist in the country would be standardized and their functions would be regulated while the Ministry of Higher Education would register all private universities and such institutions that would be established in the future.
