HELP!!! Wanna buy a Digital Camera

guys, මට digital camera එකක් ගන්න කොට consider කරන්න ඕනෙ දේවල් ගැන පොඩි help එකක් දෙන්න පුලුවන්ද??



i'm not looking for a very sophisticated one, something around Rs. 20k sites වල නම් අඩුයි හැබැයි shops වල prices තමයි වැඩි

මට මෙන්න මේවා ගැන පොඩ්ඩක් විස්තර ඕනෙ

1. optical & digital zoom - i've heard that optical zoom is better, but do all cameras have both types?? some brands only mention about optical zoom ryt?

2. What are the good brands? ( sony is bit expensive compared to others ryt? what about other brands? )
how about samsung, nikon, canon etc.. i've seen some and prices are less compared to sony

3. Is it worth spending some extra amount to buy a camera with panorama effect??

4. and, i have noticed that in most cameras there's a slight delay when capturing a moment.. i mean after pressing the button, some cameras do not capture the exact moment.. is it normal regarding any camera?

5. battery.. lithium or normal??

6. Places to buy? and, warranty නැතුව ගන්න එපාද?

1. Yes u shud consider mainly on Optical zooming. Digital zooming is the same as zooming in your pc using a software like Paint or Photoshop. So even if u dont have digital zooming it wont matter. but almost all cameras have digital zooming.
at that price range i think u can get 3x-5x zooming.

2. Sony is good, but usually Canons are better [comparing in the same price range]. But in srilanka many people think more popular sony brand is better
Anyway Sony, Canon, Nikon, Olympus are all good brands

3. Panorama is common feature now. Google a bit abt panorama, u might not use it much tho.

4 Thats a problem with all digicams. You have to buy a cam with Low Latency time, check online each model available in lankan market

5. Lithium is better.

6. Better buy with a warranty, because sometimes its pricey to fix digicams if it gets broken.

10+MP should be more than enough, higher MP rating is NOT always the best pic quality. There are many other things restrict the quality.

Other thing is recent TAX reduction should reduce Digicam prices. Im not sure whethr its already reduced, if not u might wait and see. With tax reductions, prices at AGENTS should be redced to other shop prices. Better to buy from a agent i guess.

Best to do is check with shops and get exact model names and the prices, check online websites which has reviews on them. Try googling.

just go for optical zoom,digital is just shit,there are super zoom compact models too now,like Fuji F70EXR ..etc,but check for other features and image noise too

If u need it go for that,make note that some sony models have sweep paranoma too,u jst need to rotate ur camera and stiching will automaticcaly be done,Ex. Sony DSC-W350

the important thing is less noise...etc i.e photo quality,some gives more noise at higer iso,barrel distortion at wide end..etc chk reviews before buy.
if u have money deffa go for DSLR,other wise if u r not just a user,go for camera with more manual settings,some compact/super zoomers have manual controls(ex.Canon SX120)

plz read reviews before buy and compare them

yeah K750,K800,K850 are great camera phones,i rly loved K750 at that time,
do u need samples from my K850?it's very good for macro but not much for other photos(bt ithn shape),it is the my primary camera for years ;)

btw,MP count really dnt matters if ur not to print posters ;) even for that 10MP will be ok,photo quality should be considers,bt our fools go for highest MP count and worst photo quality​
