On most films he plays the joker role but he's one great versatile actor as he can play any role. He has played the joker, the villan, the criminal mastermind, Understanding father/uncle, prick father, delusional mental guy perfectly.
I suppose its safe to say he's the Joe Abeywickrama of bollywood.

there's one movie where he plays a guy who thinks he's the one who shot Ghandi. That had some awesome acting by this guy.dude that book was ok but towards end it was getting just too much

You mixed up specialization and generalization with TH. Jean Luc Van Dam, Dolph Lundgren, Steven Segal, Sylvester Stalone, Vin Deasel , Chris Tucker, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Roy Shinder, Jim Carry actors like those specializes in only one type of acting.
