The allion is surely underpowered cos it uses the same engine (121) as of corolla and weighs more. But going for a 1800cc engine is also not wise since more capacity means less fuel economy. The toyota corolla with 121 engine is the perfect combination so far according to most mechanics (we too faced the same problem and later went for the 121). BTW don't get fooled by prices of some of these car sales. Cos in some sales there are allions for 42laks while the same model is there in some places for around 50laks. The reason is those unregistered cars are always graded when they are put in auctions in japan according to the vehicles quality/condition. So higher the auction grading http://japanimport.co.uk/auctiongrade.htm higher the vehicle price and of course better the vehicle quality. For eg there was an axio(2007) for 40 lakhs and a 121 corolla 40th anniversary model(2007) for 43.5lakhs. But when we compared the auction grading the 40th anniversary corolla was in the highest grade (5.0) while the axio was much lower. So keep in mind to check the auction grading too when opting to buy one without just comparing the prices and year of manufacturing only.:yes::yes::yes:

Axio is made in Taiwan. (Made By Toyota Taiwan Factory)

    Allion 260 Eka try kalada?

Nope..., Corolla Axio is made in japan (For Japanese Domestic market, JDM) Comes with X grade 1500CC, G Grade 1500CC (1NZ-FE Engine, Older engine Comes earlier with 121, Vios etc,), Luxel 1800CC (2ZR-FE Engine) - highest Grade

Corolla Altis, Asian Market - LX, XLI, GLI most of them came with 3ZZ-FE = 1600CC

what ur saying might be true for the 121 (abt 1800cc less fuel economy) but in 141 case that car originally made for 1800CC (Check the US spec Corolla, we get the same body spec here as brand new) and 141 is bigger and heavier than 121. we get most of these small engines because of the Tax regulations (Price get increase if the engine CC is higher than certain limits) we got a 121 1800CC which is a luxel and it does better than 1500CC in fuel in long runs (not in heavy traffics).

Simple fact! Power to weight ratio!.. if the smaller engines are more fuel economy, then why not it came with the 1000CC engine? in Allion case even older Carinas 1800CC tend to do better in fuel than their 1500CC counterparts.. cos u need more power to haul that extra weight.. so more engine power = More burning Fuel :D

If u can manage to get a newer car then it's bang for the buck. what are the prices for a axio at the moment? if ur getting a Allion try to look for a A18 with LED tails that's the latest.. Allion is more spacier than Corolla.. riding comfort is better than corolla.. but don't expect better fuel consumption than Corolla, since it's heavier than corolla..
