Working For A Tobacco Company?

machnz Im gonna have an Interview in Ceylon tobacco company for the post of management trainee.. and I am pretty they ll select me, after the MT program ill have to work in there marketing department making plans to promote cigarette. Im pretty much confused on deciding whether to take that job or not... please i need your openion on promoting cigarette, isnt it like convincing people to kill themselves.. i'm a smoker but have manged to limit it yet i knw there are thousands of people addicted to smoking in our country.. majority of them being poor and helpless..is it moral??...

Humm it is your life bro.
Personally I dont smoke and dont encourage anyone else to do so.But as I said its your choice and when it comes right down to it a jobs a job.

i know this is quite old thread , but could you pls tell me about yr interview with CTC as hopefully ill get a chance soon for the Management Trainee .

Although it says marketing, there's no such thing called marketing in CTC and therefore u wont have much experience in marketing field. one of my friends recently resigned from CTC bcos of that.
Bt personally I'm against CTC, bcos directly or indirectly u r making people sick.
But it's ur life and u have to make the decision.
